Being once a week makes it much better than the all week themes. I only take part in your Saturday theme.

Great thanks for all your unpaid efforts, I know how much work can be involved in these things I used to own a software company working with Apple and Facebook and it was hard work even when being paid for it!

Yes once you ave made the box camera you can play with a focusing plate, lots of semi transparent materials to play with including bathroom window glass of various patterns.

Yes I played with projecting an image onto bubble wrap also used it in front of a lens but had to focus on the bubble wrap not the image itself to get it to work.

Just been told of by my French friends here who say they don't want lots of tourists as they like the peaceful tranquility as it is!

Not a tourist place but you will be able to find the "new" village at the bottom of the mountain called Colombières-sur-orb France. The old village is above it look up The Gorges de Colombière the even older village is part way up to the Plateau du Caroux in Le parc naturel régional Haut-Languedoc.

My Brother owns a large Harley Davidson garage, he would be in his element with all these spare parts!

Yes I do always take pride when someone who posts what I think are super creative images on their feed gives a like to one of my images, much more valuable than the total number of likes. I post stuff I like myself which is most important of all. And I love looking at other folks work, always have

away from anything to do with the creative arts is my opinion.....

You are doing a great job getting more folks to be more creative with their photography, those with no formal photographic education never had these types of challenge and they are fun.

Funny how folks look at an image and don't realise how hard it has been to make it sometimes. You can't just put stuff in front of the sensor or the lens for that matter. My bubble wrap experiment was also not as easy as it sounds.........

HaHa yes I had to buy long drain pipe tube, in the end I gave up and made a box camera with the image projected on an old focusing plate at the back and just took a picture of that image, a photo of an image. It was easier to get the exposure this way. OR use one as a front element of an old lens.

Just a big job for someone to ask them nicely not to use it in the week. In the afternoons it all sort of works as they become to minority, it is in the mornings I find it an issue as I like to give folks with low numbers a like and sometimes a comment as the more posts the better. I learn from them

It is a great thing you have started as it gives new folks a chance to get their stuff noticed.

I do understand. If folks would stop adding the "artshow" hashtag until Saturday it would be fine, just some folks are using it all week long and that prevents new folks playing by the rules getting noticed. Fine for me as I have many friends here. Maybe make the theme like #abandoned06 for week six

Yes it is fun playing with glass like this, I have a few of these lenses (well the inventor was French LOL) also tried them as a front element a few years ago on an old Russian lens. In the end I found it was easier to focus on the Fresnel lens image itself rather than use it on the camera.

I hate AI. It is theft. I preferred the film days. Even the digital editing software digital is now all AI so I am refusing to upgrade as I don't want it. Using filters etc is much more creative and enjoyable, I don't want something to do it for me, I can't see the point.

When I told the French woman in the picture I was playing on the concept of a lonely "abandoned" woman in a "lonely" abandoned street for a photography challenge on abandonment she laughed and agreed for me to take a picture with her in it.

Most buildings here are not abandoned as it is very touristy just abandoned in the winter especially on a Sunday just a few building here are empty, I was playing on the abandoned theme, abandoned woman in an abandoned street for a play on words and as a bit of a male joke, it made the woman laugh.

But thanks for the input. It is getting worse as some folks are playing the system, for me with a good established friends base, it is not that important, but there are some really good first time posting artists whom I want to see the contributions from and encourage with likes and comments.

If folks post using the hashtag earlier in the week the post come out higher in the rating tab and in the "Latest" if it does not match the theme, but uses one the hashtag searched it shows in the list. If one used, for example #blueskyartshow01 for week one it would be much easier.

Hi don't know if it is possible but adding a different hashtag for each Saturdays theme maybe a good idea, at the moment when I want to learn from what other people have posted it has become almost impossible as folks use the #BlueSkyArtShow tag all week (maybe deliberately) and things get mixed up.

I don't want folks deciding to be stupid like me and trying to get to this castle in wintertime when the rocks are very slippy and water coming off the mountains is so fast and deep. There are many danger warning signs on the pathway.
