I’ve had two remarkable ciders since this one. One was the Porter’s Perfection/Golden Russet from Black Diamond. Really nice fruity character and strong, pleasant tartness. My only problem with this one was that I drank it over several days and the aromatics dropped off pretty badly by the end.

A point I heard on In Our Time: this is a problem a lot of people can do something about. Planting local pollen sources, leaving patches of wild ground (not mown grass), and so on. I wouldn’t bother with those mason bee homes they sell, unkempt yard is better and easier.
