In 1950 General Dwight Eisenhower became NATO's first Supreme Allied Commander Europe, before later serving as POTUS. He would turn in his grave to see a US President betray his European allies, for deals with the Russian President. The UK must stand with Europe for our collective security. 🇬🇧

Graeme Fowler on his way to his Test-best 201, India v England, 4th Test, Madras, January 13th 1985, the first double hundred by an England player in India. By the start of the following season he was out the side, suffering from a neck injury. He never returned (Adrian Murrell) #cricket

A bit of good news: NHS England hospital waiting list falls for 4th month in row. The lowest figures since April 2023. Considering the “quademic” and winter months, this is an achievement for both the NHS and Labour government. So it’ll obviously be all over the news, right?

Got to go inside the new, restored Notre Dame today. Incredible light. It all looks brand new somehow. Astonishing to think how they rebuilt this roof. Even crazier to think they were able to build this to begin with centuries ago.
