I have very strong Scottish ancestry with my family first arriving here in 1750 from Scotland. A member of those arrivals fought in the Revolutionary War. I love the Scots and have been to Scotland 5 or 6 times. They, btw, hate trump. Nicola Sturgeon was 100% correct 🏴💙

Say what you will about Scotland, but I remember reading an article about Nicola Sturgeon, former First Minister, in The New Yorker mag, and was struck by her statement that a country needs to value and support its people first, for without the people, there can be no functioning country.

Full-time employees in Finland get 24 paid vacation days per year + paid holidays. They work 4 day weeks, so that's 6 weeks of paid vacation. They also have universal healthcare, free public education including the universities. That is what a country can do when it genuinely cares about it's people
