I would imagine politics is going to be contentious no matter where you do what.

I've read that they were not treated well but I am utterly unequipped to guess the truth of the matter.

She's a fa apologist. She rounds out the article by lamenting that people objected to the military parade while allowing pride month to happen.

In context, she was talking about people who will only enjoy that which is deemed tasteful / authentic / classical / pure / elite. It's just as applicable to people who will only listen to the scraggiest punk as to those who will only listen to preclassical music on original instruments.

I think you'd find it familiar. Victoria, not far away, might be even closer to what you've got.

Very similar yes ... -17 winter minima, frost dates March 28 and November 5. We get a more-or-less drought late June through mid September. Wet more than snowy winters. Stuff flowers at more or less the same time, judging by your photos.

I think he didn't understand that, despite having lived in Toronto for a couple of years. Partly because they're trained to, which is part of the any colonizer/imperial mindset. Either they're primitive savages or they're really just like us. As I was trained to think about first nations.

Inland parts of WA, OR and CA are violently red, and eastern BC has a lot in common with AB. What I would expect would be a thin strip of green down the coast, essentially governed by the coastal CA cities.

My ex used to point out that the differences between Canada and the US West Coast are not much greater than the differences between, say, Oklahoma and California. I didn't/don't fully agree but he had a point.
