The dirt from Camden Yards is tougher to wash out of a uniform than the dirt from Yankee Stadium. apnews.com/article/laun...

If you buy a small Frosty at Wendy’s and freeze it for a day or two or until it’s super solid, it tastes almost exactly like the chocolate malt cup you can get at Wrigley Field. But if you want a wooden spoon, you’re on your own.

I love how Topps candy-coats Baez's high chase rate.

Sources say Jason Heyward is signing with the Padres. www.mlb.com/news/san-die... Imagine if Heyward wins a World Series with the Padres this year. That would be the only 2016 Cub (other than Chapman) to win a WS after the 16 Cubs.

The banner’s tail had not cleared the ground when the pole snapped. It tottered, threatening the lives of the bleacherites below, then fell harmlessly to the side. It was a sure sign, if one was needed, that God is a Cubs fan. Full story at reverbraccoon.com/2023/09/26/t...

It's bizarre pulling the Rays mascot from a card pack. Following the vibe, I pulled out an Ewok figure from my desk drawer for this pic.

I'm a bit disappointed that Ben Zobrist didn't get at least one Hall of Fame vote. Even (my fav) Shawon Dunston got one HOF vote in 2008.

I’m glad the Cubs got Michael Tucker. But I'm not a fan of one-year contracts. They don’t become players we remember as a Cub, like: Jeromy Burnitz, Carlos Peña, Leo Gómez, Benito Santiago, Cliff Floyd, Todd Zeile, Xavier Nady, Howard Johnson, Phil Nevin, and Jason Kendall.

Added Cody Poteet to the Chicago Cubs Bluesky feed. In a while, I'll remove Cody Bellinger. bsky.app/profile/57hi...

Improving the Chicago Cubs BlueSky Feed: Added filters to remove any mentions of: * Daily Walkoff (an online game that people are posting their daily results) Will eventually be removing: * Mike Tauchman * Nick Madrigal bsky.app/profile/57hi...

Happy birthday to Ron Coomer, who happens to be awesome.

I just updated the filters for the Chicago Cubs feed. It includes all the current players, coaches, announcers, etc. bsky.app/profile/57hi...

At 7:40pm tonight, the White Sox start their game to break the all-time loss record. Although it won’t be easy, they are facing the 63-93 Angels, who have the worst active player in baseball this year with 2B Brandon Drury. Although Drury is not in the lineup for tonight.

Orlando Arcia continues to be the leader for hitless games by a starting player. But the race is heating up to challenge him. We have five players bunched up together for 2nd place.

On this day 110 years ago, Babe Ruth hit his first professional home run. (It was in the minor leagues). (via Uncommon Goods #baseballeveryday)

Christopher Morel is no longer MLB's leader of hitless games this season (as a starter). Zack Gelof of the A's is now on top.

Can the White Sox break the all-time loss record? I made a card to keep track how close they get. Fill in enough circles, and the record is broken! Printer-friendly PDF available at www.57hits.com/white-sox-br...

Are there really that many other people looking at the archives of Topps Now MLB, that I have to be put into a waiting room? Note: this is not the homepage for Topps Now. It's the archives page. The OLD cards you cannot buy anymore.
