I like to imagine that Sammy himself added all those bling details on his jeans.

Yes, the chocolate malt cup. My family's tradition for every Cubs game. I stamp each of my scorecards with a fingerprint of chocolate malt. www.flickr.com/photos/spuda...

"Going back to the Cubs" sounds like he was with the Cubs previously.

On the back of those long winter jackets, the Cubs logo is so BIG, for some reason it reminds me of Superman's cape.

If anyone wants to peek at the filters I used to create the feed, I put them into a Google Sheet. Let me know if you have any suggestions on how to improve the feed. docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

Here's a list of the filters used to create the Chicago Cubs feed: docs.google.com/spreadsheets... Let me know if you think anything needs to be added (or taken out)

Since I was updating the Cubs feed, I thought it would be fun to make a second feed that sorts the posts by most favs in the past 24 hours. I imagine this feed would be fun to check once a day. bsky.app/profile/did:...

I'm always looking to improve the feed. So any suggestions are always welcome. <3

Oh! Great suggestion. To appear in the feed, the post needs to have any of the following: Chicago Cubs ChicagoCubs #ChicagoCubs #Cubs I just added the #Cubs to the feed. (capitalization shouldn't matter)

Orlando Arcia has managed to do it! He went hitless in BOTH games of the Braves-Mets doubleheader. He has secured the title of most hitless games in 2024! Arcia is the 2024 Goose Egg Champion!
comment in response to post
In the final two games of the regular season today, I'm hoping Pete Alonso or Orlando Arcia can break the five-way tie for most hitless games.
comment in response to post
Who will get the title of starter with most hitless games in 2024? We now have a three-way tie * Eugenio Suarez * Zack Gelof * Orlando Arcia

Six more games left. Can the White Sox win all six and avoid breaking the all-time loss record? THAT would be epic.
comment in response to post
The White Sox have a three-game winning streak‽ I can't believe I got to fill in a win circle for the past three days.

Shohei Ohtani's chase to 50/50 Almost 50% of his games this year he had either HR, SB, or both. * 70 games: HR, SB, or both * 76 games: No HR or SB
comment in response to post
It's been three games since Shohei Ohtani hit a HR or stole a base. What's up? Well, it's actually normal. Shohei's longest streak without a HR or SB this year * 7 games: March 21 to April 2 * 5 games: May 22 to May 28

I'm glad to see the White Sox get a couple of wins, even though I'm rooting for them to break the all-time loss record.
comment in response to post
With 16 games left, the only way the White Sox can avoid breaking the all-time loss record is by playing better than .500 ball for the rest of the season (by going 9-7).

I made this card 9 days ago, and today I finally get to fill in a WIN circle for the White Sox.
comment in response to post
Since a 57-game streak won't be possible at this point in the season, I'm going with fun picks. Today I'm going with the impossible—Gelof and Morel.#beatthestreak

On my card to keep track of when the White Sox break the all-time loss record, I added extra loss circles beyond the record, just to be safe. At this rate, I should have added more loss circles!

I just realized my post makes it sound like John McGraw and Christy Mathewson were arrested this past Sunday. But I meant on a Sunday in 1917.
