The ACA directly benefitted me. I wouldn’t have been insured for most of my 20s without it. Still grateful for it and many similar Obama-era policies we have taken for granted until now. Also — @barackobama.bsky.social is now on Bluesky 👀

Today on bluesky I learn that it was "propaganda" that the Soviet Union had trouble delivering consumer goods to its citzens and that store shelves there were sometimes empty. My "gas leaks everywhere" theory of politics is looking more and more unstoppable.

Said it before but now that it's Jan 6 I'll say it again: The violent attack at the Capitol was done by rich people, the modern landed gentry, the people who could afford to travel and book fancy hotels to plot a violent attack. It wasn't hicks. It was rich people doing crime.
