I know words don't do anything, but I am just so sorry this is happening for you. 😞💐

Or who contribute to advancements in their field of expertise in ways that genuinely benefits people. Morrison was a grifter, spiteful & so deceitful. People like him should never make the list, let alone be given the nod.

Sadly, these "honours" have long been a joke & I feel sorry for those that have actually earned & deserved recognition that they are now so tainted.

It was "curse you" or "f#$* you," the latter of which actually is closer to representing the white-hot anger I feel, but I haven't ever posted that language on SM & decided not to start now 😶

As a woman it doesn't bother me at this point because the Lib women who could be in those positions don't represent me any more than the men taking their place.

I push back against the labelling of nasty Christians as "not real Christians" every chance I get. Christianity is in the eyes of the adherent/interpreter thanks to an inherently contradictory Bible & petrifying otherwise gives it undeserved credit for & authority over morality & decency.

Catholics did it first.

Do they make spectacles to go over surgically-implanted fossil-fuel-coloured lenses?

All of those disqualify him from claiming the title "leader" or that he cares about anything other than his political power. All of those are unforgivable. And all of those take place as he pours fuel on the #ClimateCatastrophe with this act of pure, unadulterated, criminal vandalism.

I read & re-posted it last night but didn't comment because I just didn't know what to say... Thank you for persisting. It's hard to not flail between gritted-teeth determination and utter despair.

God, you of all deities should know better than to perpetuate the harmful myth that doing Christianity "right" means kind/good/moral. You inspired the contradictory shit-show of a Bible that can be pressed into service for harm as well as good Good or bad, Christianity is in the eye of the adherent

"Rising conservative star Andrew Hastie, widely seen as a future leader of the party..." Well, there's one of the problems in full view - still championing blokes like this.

Moira Deeming, *confirmed* Christian... Christians can be awful and said awfulness be supported by Bible verses as well.

I keep away from crowded situations, too, and mask indoors, have both vax when I can but still got covid - no clue how - last May. Now have LC, on the mild end, but still enough to impact on other health aspects. Wishing you continued freedom from them!

I can't remember the last time I saw someone else wearing a mask indoors. 😒

Wear a mask, too. Vaccination doesn't do much to prevent infection (but people should get it to reduce severity of infection). I know, nobody will wear a mask ...sigh...

Advancing religion is a head of charity in the Charities Act which provides all sorts of benefits, including commercial ones. Then there's the Basic Religious Charity category. It's way past time far stricter conditions were applied

He & Clare (Ed Min) also baked hiring discrimination into the funding agreement for the National Student Wellbeing Program (school chaplaincy).

I think showing the PM gave into said lobbying is usefully illustrative. That is, there's a causal relationship between lobbying & the PM's actions, showing us who he's really working for. I think it puts the PM squarely on the hook.

He heads a corrupt organisation that continues to shield pedophiles, withholds compensation & documents to aid recompense, and would remove reproductive autonomy from women. Let's not get excited because he says something anyone with basic human decency would say. What an indescribably low bar.

Albanese & the ALP are straight-up liars. The ALP candidate in my electorate & Plibersek herself ran a video blaming the Greens for no EPA. It was gobsmacking. Greens got the last laugh though, holding the seat. www.facebook.com/reel/4057119...

Goodness, no avoiding that then! Hope you have a speedy & complete recovery.

I also had all the available shots, masked indoors, only ate outdoors at non-crowded places & still somehow got it last May. Acute infection was mild, barely a blip, but a year later & I'm still dealing with the persistent after-effects. Only LC "risk" factor I had is being female

Does he have any evidence to back up his claims? Highly defamatory if not.

This is good, but falls way short of what was sought. Christian lobby group is happy (this is from an email from Freedom 4 Faith)
comment in response to post
Right-wing conservative religious lobbyists, Freedom 4 Faith, are still claiming a win for religious freedom through the defeat of these proposals though. Not having to refer a patient on is an egregious omission.⬇️

No, my point is the interpretation of scripture that paints Jesus as everything nice is just one possible interpretation so using that as an unassailable yardstick presents a false narrative which is unhelpful.

My point stands, whether you're atheist or theist.

Ah, the tired, old "no true Scotsman" fallacy. Nobody knows if any god/s exist/s, for a start, so his can anyone claim to know what is and isn't godly? religiondispatches.org/christian-na...

So much wrong with this. Why do so many people think faith "done right" naturally equates to good/moral/humane? Do you know any history at all? Do you know how many versions of faith, on a broad spectrum, there are? And atheism is just a lack of religious belief; it says nothing about values.🤦🏻
