@radleybalko.bsky.social The police are allowed to enter private property in hot pursuit of a suspect. Going out with a gun is foolish.

@mattblaze Yes, it is simply not adequate for classified information. The lack of certification of who is receiving a message is an obvious flaw in Signal that was demonstrated last month. It is designed for privacy, not for securing information.

@cryptadamist @Nonilex @GhostOnTheHalfShell @Daojoan @pluralistic It seems that the only public details about this transaction are what Elon announced, and I agree that we can’t trust what he says. The Guardian article provides some more background for people like me who have not been following […]

@Nonilex @GhostOnTheHalfShell @cryptadamist @Daojoan @pluralistic Here is an article about the transaction in The Guardian. It seems that the former Twitter content was already a big source for xAI training, so they were working closely together. Now Elon has paid off the debts of the Twitter […]

@mattblaze @ahltorp Yes, the leaves of plants reflect the near IR light. The details of exactly which wavelengths they reflect can provide additional information on the health of the plant, but this requires a spectrometer not a regular camera sensor. There are some satellites and airborne […]

@futurebird I suspect they are complaining indirectly about the “kind” of tourists visiting, not the number.
