Agreed, no amount of screwdrivers and band saws eliminated carpenters.

We utilize these planes quite a bit. Check this article from Reuters

I think they have 60 across the state per the article. I don’t think wildfires are super common in winter months. The real culprit were the crazy winds over the past week.

I understand many of these homes are very expensive but is the value based on the homes or on the land itself? If insurers focus on the actual home rebuild rather than the MLS price would that make insurance costs and risk management easier?

Reading most of the comments, it seems like variations of “well actually” which when I read the link to Bluesky terms of use, it’s mostly but not entirely users to report perceived bad actors. How that works across multiple languages and cultures seems very challenging.

Thanks for the article. Read as a more complete description of motives and timing and not just “Zuck is evil” trope some are using to describe Zuckerberg.
I think legislation to force any media company to make their algorithms available to security and sociology researchers and open source.

Maybe it’s not about crimes per se and just the perception of chaos? Retail locking up goods, homeless who need mental health support, and inflation have contributed to this perception.

I’m assuming the switching is to test the readiness for full time small ball. Like other commenters I only like switching intermittently and to keep the offense guessing.

Instead of publicly scolding companies, they should have stayed focus on legislation. Legislation even in it's worst forms requires public debate and analysis from committees. Ultimately, there's some type of accountability when you go through the process and not sending tweets or soundbites.

Maybe its just being the biggest name out there? Plenty of people hate the Yankees, Cowboys and Lakers. Granted I don't think Zuck has as many fans as those respective teams.

I don’t understand why companies donate. If Bezos wants to donate, then he is entitled. Is the money spent considered the same as spending on lobbying?

What's better as an individual? Hold a worldview that has a consistent philosophy throughout or a worldview that looks at information then makes decisions? I choose the latter because these descriptives like center left, radical, progressive force us to hold positions that aren't supported by info.

Didn’t they elect a new Senator? Maybe they could make a run to that elected officer?

Seems to be a problem of two scoreboards, and people just generally don’t pay attention to politics just whatever is repeated in media.

I like the politics focus to getting things done. Doubles dow. On not letting perfect be the enemy of good enough
