It's not quite that simple. The election showed a huge rise in support for the AFD (the far right extremist party), winning 20% of the vote--more than they've ever had by a large margin. The winning party is also conservative. This represents a severe jump to the right for Germany.

Do we separate art from artist, or avoid the art as punishment for artist's sins, especially with living artists like Rowling and Gaiman? Maybe not wanting to support them financially makes it okay to pirate these fallen artists' work. Do we see them as human with grave faults and extreme talents?
