Have you ever found WordPress trac search to be a bit slow? I've built a search tool for all WordPress commits that works in the browser. Would love to know what you think aaronjorbin.github.io/wp-commits-s...

When Anora is streaming on Hulu, do we get to watch the entire movie?

18F, the federal government’s technology shop, was demolished by Musk’s team shortly after midnight. It was a cost-recoverable org, charging agencies for their expertise, using a consulting model. Its cost to government was negligible, its benefits huge. My team there once saved DoD $500 billion.

Congrats @aaron.jorb.in , from one of those people who values you as a friend and who became one in part because of your very real human contributions to WordPress. Much love from your OG people in DC ❤️ aaron.jorb.in/15-years-of-...

Excited to see the posts in slack as WordCamp Asia Contributor day is getting started just in time for me to go to sleep. Have fun making WordPress better!

Almost as good as the fact that @jessicalyschik.com and @karmatosed.art are being sponsored to work on WordPress is the explanation of why they are sponsored: “If you rely on an open-source platform, you have a responsibility to support the people who make it better.” greyd.io/why-greyd-is...

I love Gravatar, but I really wish these were linking to people's personal WordPress website instead. Let's celebrate having our own websites! asia.wordcamp.org/2025/need-to...

WordPress 6.7.2 featured 90 contributors. 23 of them didn't contribute to WordPress 6.7. 18 are new to contributing to WordPress Core. Always exciting to see people who work for different companies all coming together to make open source software better.

Today is the the day Pitchers and Catchers report for the Chicago White Sox!

At WordCamp Asia, @desrosj.bsky.social is looking to chat with and listen to members of the WordPress Community. "This is about being available to and listening to the community as a full-time contributor and someone who serves on release squads."

On Monday morning I taught a Census data workshop for journalism grad students. We talked about trust & reliability, what’s going down (literally) right now, the efforts to screw with data collection last time, and what’s certainly coming. Had no idea that file access was being revoked as we spoke.

Applications are open to be a @wpa11yday.bsky.social organizer! The deadline is Monday, February 10th at 5:59 AM UTC.

I know a number of developers who only were flip-flops and shorts. I hope they aren't planning to attend WordCamp Asia.

Blockers mean different things for different people, and it's important that management and team members' definition is in alignment. When doing a kickoff, you should include “Definition of blocker” along with “Definition of done”.

Trying to “control the narrative” by ignoring or shutting down dissent is a bad idea. It erodes trust, invites negativity, and stifles learning. A better approach is to be transparent, open, and accountable. - @ben.balter.com

Summarized my contributions to WP in January and shared a few thoughts like: We fix bugs so that the people who want to publish content can do so. Features are added with the idea that it will make it a bit easier or a bit more powerful. And it’s given away for free. aaron.jorb.in/my-january-i...

It turns out that the integration of religious personnel into a secular educational system leads to a non secular educational system.

WordPress 6.7.2 is getting close! The RC will come out on Tuesday the 4th with the final release following on the 11th. I'm anticipating about 30 bug fixes will be included.
