One major difference BTW my Twitter feed post-election and what i see here is that Bsky has no pho-lib election conspiracy theories wrt 2024. It's really refreshing...seeing that over there was alarming, and I honestly have to wonder how much of it was driven by bots and misinformation peddlers.

There have been a lot of times where I feel like we need to have honest discussions on the left about what has worked and what hasn’t, share observations without judgement, but it feels like there isn’t much space for it. I think it’s holding us back. I wonder how and where we can accomplish that.

The United States has oligarchs now. Not merely rich people with more personal influence on politics than poorer people have, but a few extremely rich people closely connected to the national leader who act in government-like roles despite never being elected or nominated to any official position.
