Thanks for organizing this! Highlight of my week :)

My dad runs a landscaping business, and he bought a few F-150 Lightnings last year. They work reasonably well towing landscape trailers around the county, though obviously those aren’t super heavy. His biggest issue so far is with the software (trucks randomly won’t charge, etc.)

Fuming? I thought I smelled something weird in the office...

I’ve been using Resolve a lot recently, and this is probably my single biggest gripe with it. I’m curious about things end up in this state. Is it an issue of priorities? Communication of feedback? As a user, it feels like an obvious / easy thing to improve.

I forget if I've told you this before, but when I was an orientation leader in college (which was a week-long thing), we themed our group after How to Train Your Dragon. I made a silly photoshopped version of the poster and everything. Anyways, thanks for helping to make such a good movie!

For my rendering project, I first parse out the full set of includes for each shader source, then use a directory watcher (via ReadDirectoryChanges() on Windows), and recompile shaders when their source (or any files they include) get modified. A bit of work to set up, but really handy!

Was wondering when this was gonna happen! I love the cover art.

Anti-aliasing /should/ have been consistent when transitioning through the portal (though it's possible there's something I missed). The most likely issue you'd encounter is the blending breaking down at glancing angles. More info in this video at 11:25 (AA) and 19:56 (blending).

I remember being so excited the first time I saw the shard with your custom material setup, it really sells that moment :)

Unfortunately I don’t know too many details about the Mac port (that was handled by ClutchPlay Games, who are fantastic by the way). I know there were definitely a few rendering issues and misc. platform / gameplay bugs that had to be dealt with, though.

Me too, lots of gimbal lock issues in that level :P

Glad to hear it, you definitely should!

The main thing is that it’s even more expensive now, since a portal needs its own lumen scene. Psychonauts 2 used baked lighting, though.

(Also, if you’re curious about how the portals work, check out this video youtu.be/w-Z1Fx0LvDc?...)

I also enjoy doing astrophotography (whenever I get the opportunity). Here are a few examples!

Sometimes I talk about game dev, sometimes I post space pictures. Here's one from earlier this week!
