Excellent work - but a shame to put such a well researched polemic behind your paywall! Feels a little like preaching to the converted.

But there's solutions to recapturing Glasgow's lost wealth. Property wealth is inherently immobile. You know where we're going with this: council tax reform. Read the full data investigation in The Bell today.

I am totally okay with that, thanks 👍

Is that ever what I said? You don’t need to remember every password. You can have a mnemonic. I am using phone numbers as an example of a complex memory thing we used to think of as totally normal, that’s all.

Look obviously I’m not going to discuss any specifics of my system in public, but trust me, there are loads of simple methods you can use to do this, it’s easy to remember and create complex passwords based on personal rules that only you understand.

Now we tell them that’s impossible! Use a password manager!

You’re missing my point here, man. Obviously phone numbers don’t have to be secure. I’m just using them as an example that society used to think it normal for people to remember several long unrelated strings of numbers.

Folk used to remember dozens of phone numbers - it’s not hard to remember things!

How would they reverse engineer my system when the end result is a string of unrelated characters? It only takes a couple of simple mental steps. And who is going to take the time to do that? Whereas if outsource it to a third party I might end up like our mutual friend Ed! I’d rather rely on me!

You don’t need to keep track of any passwords when you use a mnemonic. You just derive a part of the password from the name of the service according to rules only you know. You only need to remember the rules you use for constructing your passwords.

Just come up with a good personal mnemonic and invent your own complex passwords. It takes a few hours of thinking and gives you a lifetime of security. I have never understood the mainstream infosec advice to use password managers - putting everything in one place seems like a point of failure.

They are using a law that The Tories brought in last year just before the election, but yeah the current administration demanding this interpretation of enforcement is the Labour Party.

Other clubs always cite Arteta when it comes to these situations but their memory is very poor. Arteta had an immediate impact on our dreadful defending and then went on to win a trophy in his first season. It was only in seasons two and three he started to struggle.

The important point is that you don't really need a government funded arts mixer, or specially targeted rent relief for aspiring artists, when you have a society in which it is possible for working class people to survive and live while pursuing their creative abilities.

And they all worked perfectly 😘 five channels of video synced with dance. WIP for a production of Enda Walsh’s Arlington in the autumn.

It goes back to Herbert Chapman! He reinvented the sport and the northern teams never forgave him for it!

Uh-huh, and I suppose we’ll need some kind of guidelines so we know which is which…

Wonderful! I am putting March in the diary.

Looks exactly like new builds in Glasgow too. Globalisation, right? Cheaper and easier to have one system and style of architecture that you can throw up anywhere from Indiana to Dublin to Malaysia. Local and vernacular styles disappear.

Hello! 👋 This looks an incredible event but I’m working tomorrow in Glasgow. Any plans to put it online / run similar things in future?
