I guess, when early tech bros declared they were here to do good and not be evil, folks for moment forgot (or pretended to forget) the first, last and always legal/fiduciary duty of a corporation.

Only thing I’m sure about these days is that if you put on a suit and tie and intone into the camera with a voice conveying gravitas you can say the dumbest shit in the world and people will pay you money to keep doing it. (Or just talk fast like Vivek and people will call you brilliant)

3/3 I think the 14th Amendment is this country’s greatest intellectual and political (not just legal) achievement. My obsession with James Baldwin’s writings is altogether healthy.

2/3 I am a law professor at Georgetown I teach a civil rights clinic, where students and I represent civil rights clients pro bono. I also teach first year civil procedure. I write most about slavery and Reconstruction.
