I thoroughly enjoyed this novella, The House on the Water by Margot Hunt. She skillfully crafted her own unique twist into a classic locked-in murder mystery. βš‘οΈπŸ“šπŸŽ§πŸ“šπŸ’™

#FridayReads Still reading Different Seasons by Stephen King and West with Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge. (Huge tug on my animal loving heart, BTW.) Finishing a novella on Audible: The House on the Water by Margot Hunt. β³πŸ“šπŸ©ΈπŸ“šπŸŽ§πŸ“šπŸ’™

I feel his pain. πŸ˜‚

Ralph Blumenthal, a renowned reporter who wrote a biography titled The Believer: Alien Encounters, Hard Science, and the Passion of John Mack. John Mack, a Harvard psychiatrist, stumbled upon an opportunity to meet with individuals who claimed to have been abducted by aliens. πŸ’‘πŸ“šπŸŽ§πŸ“šπŸ’™

Whitaker is a brilliant writer. His talent took me on an emotional journey with these captivating characters as they struggled with emotional and physical pain, loss, and heartbreak. πŸŽ§πŸ“šπŸ’™

Overall, I enjoyed Bitter Passage. Initially, I was excited about the book but soon found myself growing disengaged as the pace was slow. When Mills finally introduced some action, I became committed to finishing the book. β³πŸ“šπŸ’™

Last Twilight in Paris is another remarkable novel by Pam Jenoff. It was engrossing and fast-paced. Pam crafted characters full of strength and determination to confront the challenges of war while also unraveling mysteries. β³πŸ“šπŸŽ§πŸ“šπŸ’™

I reread Stephen King’s The Dead Zone, our February selection for the Constant Reader book club. I’ve watched the original 1983 movie adaptation multiple times and first read the book in 2015. πŸ©ΈπŸ“šπŸ’™

Over the course of four hours, Still House is packed with unsettling occurrences. Is the house haunted? Were the tenants under the influence of drugs? Did they leave voluntarily or were they abducted? βš‘οΈπŸ“šπŸŽ§πŸ“šπŸ’™

I continue to be impressed by Freida McFadden’s remarkable talent for suspenseful storytelling. Her ability to immerse me into the story so deeply that once I start a book, I want to shut out the world with my AirPods until the end. βš‘οΈπŸ“šπŸŽ§πŸ“šπŸ’™

#FridayReads Starting a new audiobook, Still House, by Christian White and Summer De Roche. Also still reading The Dead Zone and The Bitter Passage. πŸŽ§πŸ“šβš‘οΈπŸ“šβ³πŸ“šπŸ©ΈπŸ“šπŸ’™

So many great choices this month for Amazon First Reads! Excited to read Name Not Taken by Madeleine Henry. βš‘οΈπŸ“šπŸ’™

Fiona Davis is one of my favorite historical fiction novelists, and one author that I have read all of her books. I acknowledge that I am about to express an unpopular opinion: while The Stolen Queen was enjoyable, it did not fully resonate with me as some of her other novels have. β³πŸ“šπŸŽ§πŸ“šπŸ’™

#FridayReads The Dead Zone by Stephen King for the Constant Reader book club’s February meet up. I’m also listening to The Stolen Queen by Fiona Davis on audio. Still reading The Bitter Passage by Colin Mills on my Kindle. πŸ©ΈπŸ“šβ³πŸ“šπŸŽ§πŸ“šπŸ’™

"I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscapeβ€”the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show." ~Andrew Wyeth πŸ“· #photography #winter

I thoroughly enjoyed Elvis and Me by Priscilla Presley. I was genuinely surprised by the revelations I gained, and I must admit to being somewhat disappointed to discover the extent of Elvis’s unfavorable traits. πŸ’™πŸ“š

It’s been too long since I’ve read a @josephfinderbooks.bsky.social book! The Oligarch’s Daughter is an outstanding, suspenseful, fast-paced spy thriller β€” I kept turning the pages as I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next! This book is full of intensity! βš‘οΈπŸ“šπŸ’™
