California is and always has been Indigenous land! Mexico is just another colonizer country using a name stolen from the Mēxihcah.

I *saw Fire Walk With Me before Twin Peaks and I remember being so confused and having no idea what was going on. After watching Twin Peaks it made more sense. *I was half asleep when I saw the movie fwiw

I had the same hyperfixation years ago! It was a really fun deep dive down memory lane.

I know that the unraveling of the republic is a very bad time for many of us and we are confronting experiences that are unprecedented in many ways but fascism and oppression are not a sudden development in this country and it is deeply insulting to act brand new about it.

I don’t want to think about it because it’s just too stressful to think about losing access to my work and my research and my connection to the outside world, however small that is. Of course I worry about it every day.

Also, I’m pretty sure my computer needs to be fixed (something to do with the graphics card), but I can’t afford it and I don’t know what to do when one day it just stops working.

It’s so weird, almost all my life I was under the impression the BIA forced tribes into BQ rules. It wasn’t until a few years ago I learned some tribes don’t have those rules or have different rules. I think descendant based just makes more sense.

My father refused to acknowledge me when I was a baby unfortunately. I reached out as an adult and he never bothered to respond. I definitely appreciate all the advice. Thank you! 🙏🏽

She has a state ID. We both do. Glad we got that taken care of a few years back.

I am trying to make a plan for my mom. She has to work and she runs all the errands for us. I worry about her. She doesn’t have a tribal ID because we live so far away. Most of her co-workers are immigrants and I am scared for them too.

I think less handholding of the middle class is in order and more catering to the people who need help the most and maybe want to help others too but don’t have as many resources.

They might not be as evil a company as Amazon, but they are still a corporation and a shitty one at that.
