okay i’m struggling bc out of all my work bbtf in particular is quite gaiman-esque, but i think i’d say cuckoo by gretchen felker-martin. that one’s much more explicitly horror, but it deals with a lot of the same themes and does so quite well, so that comparison would make me feel understood
