I'm out of practice in teaching high school students. But this month, I had occasion to speak with two high school classes for Black history month. And all I'll say is that these young people deserve everything. They are curious, they want better than what they've been given, and they want to fight.

We can also add on the fact that these “healthier foods” sometimes come at a premium of costs to the consumer. And current SNAP benefits have not done a great job of keeping up with inflation prices to begin with. Or time needed to cook when working multiple jobs to stay afloat.

Gender presentation is the current big issue. But, this society has expectations for how you present based on how THEY identify you. You don't exist as yourself, you exist in relation to how closely your presentation matches societal expectation. Resist that shit.
