People sleep on Roary The Racing Car so badly. It has enough going for it that makes it just as great a show as Thomas. The characters are hilarious, the score/songs kick ass, and the episodes are overall really fun. Even the CGI animation is pretty top notch.

It really makes you wonder how much the writers wanted to use her in the show but couldnāt because HIT forbid them due to the whole ānew characters only appear once just to sell toysā thing.
Whether Model or CGI, Molly will always be the one newbie of the show whose potential was wasted the most.

By all means Nick, iām not saying the reused shots āruinedā the experience for me, it simply just felt a little off seeing Season 1 B-roll inserted in the middle of brand-new 40 yr old restored footage. It sortāve broke the illusion of it being a never before seen pilot, if that makes sense.

I think i wouldāve preferred it if Thomas simply left Gordon at the platform and it just cuts straight to Knapford Station.
In fact if anyone is willing to make a proper clean edit of that iād really appreciate it.

Granted itās just a reconstruction, not a 100% restoration. I understand Mattel doesnāt have all the original reels anymore and had to make do with what they had and improvise, but watching all this brand-new footage and then seeing Season 1 B-roll kinda took me out of the whole experience.

It was, but itās been 40 years since then, the original reel was most likely too worn to be restored. The poor quality of the photo speaks for itself.
Aw well, iām sure someone can replicate it in blender or something and make a full edit.

If Mitton hadn't of created TUGS, i would've loved to of seen a Harold spin-off series that had the same explosive and action packed atheistic and directed in the style of the original 60s Thunderbirds.
