I'm eastern european and that was over a decade ago, since then I haven't worked for a software house and only work for european/HK companies and I'm avoiding american at all cost. The culture ya'll have over there is WEIRD

Like, I presented to a dude named Issam without a problem, we had female project managers and the arab clients were civil and normal with us. Switch to the american project and the dudes there are giving us (only women) software quizzes instead of code review. It was a bizarre clash of expectations.

This is an anecdote from me. I, a woman, used to work in a software house as a developer and I've gone thru clients from all over the world. Various European countries, the US, UAE, China, Japan. And by far the worst and most sexist clients that I had were American.
