I guess - calling Trump a #Beschleunigungsagent is neither praise nor blame. It’s a strategic diagnosis: He accelerated problems Europe had long ignored. That pressure may finally spur overdue action and reform. Whether that’s good or bad depends on what Europe does in response.

Frankly, I didn’t hear this expression before. I guess he likely means that: Trump accelerated existing global trends — such as deglobalization, trade fragmentation, rising protectionism, weakening of multilateral institutions, or the erosion of US-led global order.
