I ended up eating food that was around for breakfast and lunch, worked from home, turned the heat off around noon, crocheted a washcloth, and cooked on the grill for dinner. Simple day, $0 spent. Letting my 5 year old watch a DVD (boycotted streaming because ads) and had to explain how DVDs work 😂.

On it! I am thinking the email [email protected] has a nice ring to it… yesterday I chose to report the Moms of Liberty book bans, used a Florida zip code and Moms of Liberty as the school. I then wrote a couple hundred words on the dangers of book bans and attached their banned book list as proof

I wrote a detailed 350-ish word essay complete with sources on how detrimental Moms of Liberty is book bans are and attached the pdf of their banned books list as proof 🤣. Today I think I’ll focus on DJT banning trans kids from sports 💁🏻♀️

You would reach more people, when you add a good description into the Alt-text field.
That is pretty easy, especially, when your image just contain text.
This way, you support visually impaired people and everyone else, who rely on a good filled Alt-text.

This! I am participating today, AND changing my shopping habits. I’m slowly buying more long term food supply so I’m ready for future, longer blackouts. We can’t do this overnight, not everyone has that ability.

The way I see it, I’d rather small businesses survive this. Even if they’re MAGA. They have less power to influence politics than the large corporations who have the cushion and will probably get bail outs.

Same, I think it’s more training people to think differently. It’s a start, and many people (like myself) have never done this before. I have stopped shopping Amazon, Target, and Walmart and I was shopping all 3. Shopping farmers markets, coops, and Aldi. This is just the beginning.

It was virtual, so we filled out an online form with our phone numbers. It was supposed to automatically call us but an overwhelming amount of people never got the call.

I loved seeing all of this yesterday. It gave me hope and I will do my absolute best to come to the next one. In the meantime I’m grocery shopping at local farmers markets, and not spending on ANYTHING else. Bring on the Feb 28th blackout!
