This handsome dude is just chillin' realising that he has a nice warm place to live with people that will care for him, he looks a bit shell shocked tbh but in a good way. Give him time to get used to his home & he will become a real snuggle🐈 just like me.

He made some very good films with Arthur Penn obvs Bonnie & Clyde but Night Moves from 75 is a gem, for some reason has always been a bit underappreciated, it's being released I think in the UK end of April by Criterion. RIP Gene, thanks for the films.

Saw Blue Velvet when it came out in 87, it kinda went over me head, then in 88 in Tenerife with acid house all over the place saw it again on pirate video with a few friends and too much vodka & orange made perfect sense, Dean Stockwell is only in it for 6/7 mins but it's the best 6/7 mins in cinema

Cracking release, bought mine at Time is Right, Chapel Market Islington. Steve Pickton aka Stasis was working there around this time 92/93 & he just handed it me and said 'ave a listen to this' good recommendation.

It might be worth checking in one of their shops in central London as I got an 18 month weekly notebook (July 2024- December 2025) for £10.99 last Thursday reduced from £26.99 if I remember correctly from their Covent Garden branch.

Yes if only side 2 was a cracker like side 1 then this would be fêted like FC is, it's a shame really cuz I have recently been listening to Four Sail & the Blue Thumb recordings and this band were really special. Arthur was a clever bloke but his decision to have a blues jam take up one side was 💩

Just watched the Simon of the Desert disc, you guys have done a wonderful job, Viridiana & Exterminating Angel I will watch around Xmas, I know these are not technically what you would call 🎄films, but Bunuel was & is still the best. Groove records Greek street was the best, many happy memories of buying House 12"s, & the people who worked there, Roger the hip hop guy and Chris aka the Rhythm Doctor turned my ears to plenty of good tunes from 89 - 92 when they finally shut down. Good times.
