Canada has the same outlook…we’ve already seen folks like Timothy Snyder head north.

“Believe me, we’re going to be picking through every line of code in his firmware…and there are a lot of lines of code. People are saying too many, much too many.”

I mean, what does KD really have left in the tank?

We've been flush lately with films about upper-echelon elites ruminating about power and privilege, as world-ending events culminate in the background (Rumours, The End, Mountainhead).

It's Jesse Armstrong, there is no secret about it being a comedy of errors and hubris.

Well said. I have discussions with my son about race, and he’s 7. Either Tapper has blinders on or he’s not a very good father (maybe both).

Hegseth and Walz were using Signal, but yeah, your point still stands.

And seriously, 6000 calls a month? That’s over 200 calls per day. I guess I could be out to lunch but that doesn’t seem right.

You have to think it’s worse for Trump to back off the Chinese tariffs in advance of any price bump domestically. If he had waited for tariff-related increases to settle in, then announced the 30% tariff cap, it could’ve been argued that the reduction would be forthcoming (even though it isn’t).

Not even a concept of a plan, or even a “subdeal”.

“I’ve made 200 deals,” he told Time. “You’ve made 200 deals?” he was asked. He responded: “100 percent.” Yet he refused to name any countries.

Such a heartbreaking and needless loss of life. The last thing needed is any additional person destroying their life/future over it. Humanity like Mr. Green are the pieces of light in stories like this.

Is this "big picture" in the room with us now, Howard?

Oh yeah, nothing says "smooth" like 'Vance warned on Wednesday that the US would "walk away" from its deal-making role if Russia and Ukraine do not come to an agreement'.

I have no rock experience, and I am sure for the most part it is a boys club, but also they're a ton of talented and successful women in the "rock" scene these days, e.g. Beach Bunny, Mitski, boygenius, beabadoobee, Weyes Blood, St Vincent, Courtney Barnett, Angel Olsen, Clairo, etc etc

“The assault confirmed for Beattie something he had long suspected: that the promise of a secure middle-class existence had been undone by Liberal policies aimed primarily at older generations.” I’ve been punched in the head before and what it confirmed for me was: “Ow.”

Russia just conscripted 160,000 new recruits which seems about as far as one gets from a ceasefire.

It’s heading that direction, undoubtedly.

Trump’s late night social post about hitting any countries that work together to circumvent/deflect tariffs just shows they are already panicking about the new alliances being formed without US involvement. They did it to themselves and it’s a permanent global change.
