I often combine these scooters with pedestrian activity in other cities when I travel; I like having them here and support their presence, but agree letting them block sidewalks is untenable.

That's not supposed to sound like a threat, just a kindness to the child now that he's chosen the path of the oppressor. The people are protesting for a reason. Don't use a child as a shield.

I have a natural reaction at least which is hollering hellbent rage and noise. That part isn't practiced, it just happens, so I've got that going for me. When I lived in the Mission & Tenderloin I'd just start ranting nonsense words til they'd giggle & back off. Leave it to me to make em laugh.
