Yeah they do a super good job there, and the Egyptian section has always struck me as the ultimate in Victorian occult design. I must pick up that book!

LOL.
Speaking of Pulp, I see their artist page on Apple Music uses the AI stuff from that music video as the video/animated header. Good job, Jarvis, good job.

You mean like playing the opening chords of Hello I Love You on the Wish tour?

Ha, he does that reasonably often. Also gets confused about what were singles when he introduced whichever Caterpillar b-side into the mix for a while.

Well I'm glad it had a revival!

The Great Xpectations CD is a treasure of my collection. Such a snapshot of early 90s indie.
Also, first performance of It's Not You since the late 70s?

Current shelves - need sorting, and missing a couple of things that are somewhere downstairs…

I'm contemplating making some changes - the "special" shelves might include specific series or imprints, like Criterion Collection, which are not limited but still nice editions. I currently have my anime collection out separately, may do the same for Japanese films (not all I have are limited).

A work in progress. All discs go into folders I can easily access by the TV downstairs. Upstairs in my office I have a shelf of physical media, but only limited/numbered/special/collector's editions. Regular releases are just boxed in my attic to save space. I keep a digital catalogue for browsing.

This is part of my theory about time moving differently now. The Cure implode and then Robert reinvents the band in a matter of months. These days you'd take time out for much longer. He was back with Lament then LGTB very quickly.

I didn’t know they had a new album out.

Yeah they do - but I never want to hear Lullaby or Lovesong again. I'm sure @curegigstats.bsky.social will give us the stats, but pretty sure it's just the same 6 out of 12 tracks on constant rotation, with *occasional* guest appearances by 1 or 2 others.
Admittedly, yes, 50% of an album IS high.

Oh good grief.
Here's a brief selection of responses to the Master of Evil announcement.

Haha! But I wonder if he's cooled a bit on the P/D/BF trilogy idea? BF in particular seems ignored. And then you've got amazing tracks like A Short Term Effect which were played in 1982 and 2002 and... that's it?!

If Pornography, Disintegration, and Bloodflowers are so important, why don't you play more songs from them live than just the standard selection that I quite honestly never want to hear again :p

Maybe don't give it any stars, because you shouldn't really be reviewing your own work?
