Easy to neglect particularly in the early stages. I am guilty of this ๐ตโ๐ซ
Did they get you out of a tough spot?

Tough, thatโs a lot of work done to just start again but surely a lot of reusable code and lessons learned also.
Curious as to what specific issues you have with the code that make it too complicated to scale?

Glad Iโm not the only one! Had a day fighting with timestamp formatting also ๐ตโ๐ซ

Thanks Kevin - great to hear this is being worked on. Looks like the best solution

Ah yeah I guess it would have to run on a server somewhere ๐

Trying to figure out the simplest way to do this without getting bogged down in international taxes ๐ตโ๐ซ

Really cool idea!
It would be awesome if you were storing a snapshot of the sentiment score by hour so you could chart change in sentiment over time and see if it could be connected to real-world events
Data is fun ๐

Ah seems I misunderstand you then. Youโre not saying itโs a good idea to give away 30% of a company for access to a distribution channel, but that it is helpful if a cofounder can bring access to the market to the table. Not a novel idea, but good advice. Thanks

Just a normal marketing cofounder then ๐

Interesting idea - you already get the same benefit by sponsoring the newsletter no?
Requires investment upfront but would you really give away 30% of a company for advertising that is already available for a fixed fee?
I get that 100% of nothing is nothing but just doesnโt seem like good maths

No worries, itโs a really cool idea. I like the goal of helping to open up new connections.
I think it would be useful to have a compatibility score or interest score that gives an idea of how closely your interests align with the follower. Maybe an alert as an alternative feature to a post?

Another vote for Starling. I have 2 business accounts with them and am happy. Donโt remember a long waiting period to open the accounts either.
The only issue Iโve had is them blocking a bank transfer payment I was trying to make while I was with the seller, took them a couple hours to approve it.

Hey Eddy, just had a read. Congrats on a successful first 6 months. Very much relate to the balancing act - Iโve read a few people say they do morning marketing and arvo development
Curious how you found your first group of beta testers and how long you had them testing before moving to paid?

There were some bad things too but overall a great year. Starting a business has been the best thing Iโve ever done - providing the opportunities for many of the good things in my life

Nice great tip! Make are very generous with their limit and well worth paying for if you do a lot of automation. Paid for itself many times over for me ๐ค

Just shipped a fix - any overlength attempts will now still go through successfully with the variable values truncated. User will be notified on the dashboard also. Check your dashboard and you will see a few notifications! ๐

At the moment this isnโt handled gracefully but at some point I plan to have the user notified when this is the case, potentially just truncating the variable as well so it doesnโt fail.

Hey Alexandre. Thanks for using the app, cool use case!
It will error if it tries to update with a bio that is above the character limit. This might be the case for longer song / artist names and I think what is happening here.

Just want to say thanks for posting a public request for ideas. A lot of valuable tips in the thread and as a โconsumerโ itโs a great format to read them in - (as I and Iโm sure lots of others are often less inclined to click and read a long form blog post). Cheers
