Title race was over when we didn’t sign at least one forward in January after Jesus’ injury

Hatch, always hatch. Plus this is one of the uglier sedans I’ve seen.

I mean, we definitely had a choice with one of them, given we have at least 4 others who also can play his position available on the bench.

Surprised there’s only two in the country.. small enough you could probably check it as oversized luggage.

Tell me about it, I have so many running off a shoebox size Synology NAS.

Yes please! The only major downside of the switch to an EV 4 years ago has been the lack of wagons for those of us that can’t afford a Taycan Sport/Cross Turismo

Given its Tritium I would assume they are trying to make it more reliable rather than faster. Wishful thinking obviously, but it certainly can’t make it any less reliable.

Finally? What about the Kia EV9 and VW ID.Buzz?

I get what you’re saying, but not sure I agree, given we bought Calafiori and MLS has still broken through, and given Neto took two points from us at Stamford Bridge.

I feel like I may have misinterpreted this, as I pictured Mikel having turned up to the post match press conference in a pimp outfit

From what little I’ve seen he seems good, but I can’t help but feel that if we had a young striker like him that had played that little, everyone would laugh at us for asking even half what Villa want.

Yeah, an outswinging Rice corner can’t be a worse option than this

Yup, we got the same style of microwave when the last one died last year, a vast improvement.
The house we just moved to this week came with a $9k gas Smeg though, so it could be a while before I have an easy to clean cooktop :(
comment in response to
post
Aside from anything else I am extremely jealous of the ease of cleaning. That microwave is making my back ache, but actually I guess I rarely use the thing.

I thought we all moved away from GoDaddy nearly 15 years ago when the CEO merrily uploaded videos of himself killing elephants and then doubled down?

It’s not even like it wasn’t extensively reported, they just either have selective or zero memory

It was terrible defending, but if that is any other midfielder being played out of position there, a lot more of the blame is being pointed at management. FWDs aside, our midfield fluidity has regressed each of these last three seasons.. Ode+Xhaka+Partey > Ode+Havertz/Partey+Rice > Ode+Merino+Rice
comment in response to
post
Would be great if Merino could do that for some of the first 85 minutes too.
comment in response to

Yeah, he really needs to be better at either attack or defence to justify his position in this team. Miles off Xhaka’s final 18 months.

They’re nice enough cars, I just find it frustrating that decent QOL features like driver seat memory gets restricted to the more expensive specs/trims. Some of us share vehicles but don’t need dual motors and a 90kwh battery.

I get the impression from all Hyundai and Kia’s Aussie pricing since the E-GMP platform launch that they are intentionally trying to market themselves as more premium than they used to. 5+ years ago you’d never see them at higher prices than an equivalent Tesla, but now it’s the norm.
comment in response to
post
But if Hyundai can launch the Inster as one of the cheapest EVs in Japan, is it really the Australian rules on other Kei cars that prevent them doing the same here?

Would love a new EV Twingo.. had a real soft spot for them in Paris in the 90s, and this concept is excellent.
comment in response to
post
Yeah, obviously the EV5 is the direct competitor size wise, but I think this is still big enough for people to cross shop, if the price is right.
comment in response to
post
Very intrigued by this, but it’ll need to beat the non launch edition price of the new Model Y by a good $10k+ to be worth considering.

Wasn’t there some thing about us being capped on loan players with Sterling and Neto? Or is that only for players from the same league?
comment in response to

Especially considering how many people seem to think they can ride it out whenever a hurricane hits, although I guess it tends to be a very different part of the country.

Is the Sealion 7 considerably lower than a Sealion 6 then? Because the Sealion 6 is definitely as much an SUV as a Model Y. I would say the Kia EV6 is closer to a wagon than that.
comment in response to

Holy cow, I was sure you must have confused it with the Polestar 3, but checking the NZ website I was wrong.. why on earth is it that expensive when it starts at $71k in Australia?
comment in response to

Yeah, this cup I have never cared about, and in an ideal world with everyone fit we would use it to give bit part players a chance to prove they deserve more responsibility. We’d be far better off with a rest than these two Newcastle games.

We move in 2 weeks time for the first time in 13 years, and we’ve gained a 13yo and 11yo since then. Your packing style sounds impressive to me.

Doesn’t help that Merino and Califiori as some of our most recent signings look far from convincing rather than improving us.

Would certainly be interesting to see how well Liverpool did if they were without their two best players (Salah/VVD) as long as we’ll be without Odegaard/Saka this season. Doubt they get that same shitty luck though.
comment in response to
post
Agreed, but mostly we need Liverpool’s fortune to change. They’ve been pretty good but I’d be interested to see how they go without Salah or VVD for a few games.
comment in response to

Sounds like you’re looking at the stats rather than the actual games.. rarely have this season’s Liverpool looked great (particularly in defence), but it has been enough.

It was rather dour. I’d just watch the goal.

I watched it through but really the primary spy storyline was crap. The hired guns were the only decent characters. Day of the Jackal was better (if you ignore how tactically incompetent most of it is).
