Awesome pod with @adawsonbros.bsky.social, @dancurtis1972.bsky.social it's another pod angle I didn't know I needed. Also missed the victory parade as I had to get to Poland to help on a project that ultimately got canned anyway 😭😭

On your way to the game? Don't doomscroll, listen instead to Dan and Matt chat with @adawsonbros.bsky.social about a lost song by the 1995 #oufc squad, taunting Ant & Dec after an FA Cup walloping, and revealing OUFC's celebrity fans. open.spotify.com/episode/4WqL... or wherever you get your pods.

Very much enjoyed chatting to @dancurtis1972.bsky.social and Matt on this podcast. Covered a wide range of #oufc related subject matter. Some EXCLUSIVE pictures in the YouTube version…

I think we had a complacent January transfer window. We could have kept Scarlett if we’d been smarter. And surely we should have been more selfish and recalled Currie. His personal development is one thing but we should be doing everything we can to bolster the squad for survival. #oufc

Updated. Pattern remains. Nothing’s really changed since Rowett came in. Lose away to top half sides. We get odd points against top half teams (at home) and bottom half teams (away). We beat most bottom teams at home. (Original table taken from Dec Watson on Twitter!) #oufc

#oufc fans. Get yourself to Cowley Road Truck Records if you want this copy of OX CD featuring the 1995 Oxford Utd squad’s singing “U Are My Sunshine” (I would have bought it but I already have a copy…)

They won a goal kick on Tuesday though. #oufc

Murphy now has the 4th most assists in the Championship. Given how much we have seen the board spend on fees (and presumably wages) since Murphy left, it’s a shame we decided not to pay the money to keep him in the summer. #oufc

Updated with my scribbles. Pattern of the season remains. Bottom half teams - mostly win at home, draw away. Top half teams - odd point at home, lose away. If the pattern continues, there’d only be another 7/8pts to come. Would love a couple of wins soon to make things comfortable! #oufc

Rowett has got us playing really well and the unbeaten run was incredible. But results patterns aren’t all that different. Bar a couple of exceptions… Against top half teams: odd point at home, lose away. Against bottom half teams: win at home, odd point away. #oufc

I'm not bitter in the slightest. In a totally unrelated matter, I’m choosing today - five years on from the event - to officially declare that Mark Sykes' goal at Wembley was a fluke. #oufc

First goal from yesterday. For this move, I make the formation: Vaulks and Kioso at CB, Leigh at LWB, Brannagan at LW, Dembele as CAM and Helik as striker. Liquid football! #oufc

What a weird but wonderful match. Helik weirdly staying up front for ages and then a scissor kick. A goal given by technology at the Kassam? Weird. Greg Leigh weirdly in acres of space (although watch Helik drawing two defenders away to make that space). Loved it! #oufc youtu.be/J78jCwsi5lc?...

When Cameron Brannagan properly connects, he gets the ball to make a noise that no other player can. The perfect ‘ping’. #oufc

From the Oxblogger Newsletter - Long Term Thinking 'You may be Sam Long's number one fan but I reckon you still under-appreciate him. I’m going to explain why.' @ADawsonBros explains why there's even more to Sam Long's story than you imagine. oxblogger.substack.com/p/long-term-... #oufc

Death, taxes and Sam Long starting at right back. Gary Rowett is the latest to see what an asset he is to #oufc

Win or lose… #oufc

Holy shit, Ramon’s back! #oufc

I’ve been thinking about Jerome Sayle’s excellent BBC Sport article - this bit resonates most. While football in the top two divisions has sold its soul & turned to shit since we were last in the second tier, life at #oufc has remained an authentic, community experience.

I wrote a piece for this month’s Oxblogger Newletter about Sam Long and why he’s a proper #oufc legend.

The Peter Serafinowicz Show Christmas Special. HOW is this not better known? In its own idiosyncratic but entirely accessible comic universe, highly original from start to finish and there isn't a single sketch that misses. AND THAT'S *STILL* NOT ALL! timworthington.org/2020/12/24/l...

Here’s a brilliant piece for all football fans about the cheese dream of Argentinian legend and River Plate’s all-conquering manager Ramon Diaz managing Oxford United in League 2. Now I want a Netflix series about it.

“A couple of tunes, by a couple of prongs” A wonderful evening watching Adam & Joe.
