Thanks Swiss! Like you, I’m totally fine with missing out on one of the greatest days of Oxford Utd’s history. It’s not like I watched every video of the parade on Instagram that evening in a hotel room and wished I’d done things differently.

And here’s the East/West College Bowl sketch from Key and Peele that I mentioned… youtu.be/gODZzSOelss?...

The combination of Des and Murphy were so key to Oxford’s promotion push. Shame Des didn’t get to start the season with Murphy.

I’ve said on here previously that given the board had a bigger budget (eg. Dembele Romeny fees) than us fans knew at the time, I don’t understand why they didn’t do whatever they needed to keep a known quantity like Murphy.

I agree a bit. But given we still have a squad place available (I think?), I think we needed to be ruthless and just bring him back. Worst case scenario he doesn’t play for half a season. I would agree with you about Brown being a LB back up if Moore Nelson were fit, but we are thin at the back

Scarlett had (and perhaps still has?) the best goals-to-shots ratio in the Championship. Should have given him more minutes so Spurs let us keep him.

Then I want to hear all about it from you!!

It would be my pleasure!

That’s how I see it too. March and April are pretty brutal fixtures. We will have to find a couple of wins out of those three games I think. Or come up with a couple of unlikely wins that defy the pattern so far. I don’t want us to need points at home vs Sunderland & Leeds!

…but then us supporters didn’t know we had £2.5m+ in the kitty to spend on transfer fees alone! Feels like spending a fraction of that on wages for a known quantity would’ve been a smart decision.

I’m sure it was lots of things, but it I would have thought better money (or contract length) would have tipped things in Oxford’s favour. Ferguson implied the board went as high as they felt was right, thinking we could spend that ££ better elsewhere. I thought the same at the time…

(I think Romeny looks promising but don’t understand why he’s not getting more minutes??)

Agreed. But what we do know now - that we didn’t know then but the board did - is that the club had enough budget to break our transfer record twice.

Hope we get a few more greens in the top left corner and the bottom right corner.

Here’s the numbers - my updates scribbled on. (Got sent the original table from Twitter the other week, apologies can’t remember who put it together!). I’m not sure what I’m saying here, but the pattern is weirdly clear. (Norwich home/Blackburn home/Millwall away are the outliers) #oufc

(I actually thought him applauding the Oxford fans at the end was a really classy touch. Always gave his all in yellow.) #oufc

Thanks Mike. Appreciate that!

Cardiff kept two up for corners today. That including the one that Ciaron Brown scored from. Maybe Ramon Diaz was wrong after all?

Maybe we both have a sort of League One Stockholm Syndrome?

The slow creep of 12:30 kick offs, the distant owners watching games on iFollow, journeymen coming in on big salaries, and match activations was noticeable, but I could turn a blind eye to the changing culture at #oufc. But that can no longer be ignored when they sacked Des.

If we had enough money in reserve to pay off a manager on a 3+ year deal and bring in a whole new regime plus their signings - why didn’t we spend some of it on Josh Murphy’s contract? #oufc
