I really like this composition, especially the slant of light and the uneven cut on the wood

“Axe romance” speaks very powerfully Also can this be a stealth remake of “Same Time, Next Year” but still starring Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn

That’s what I was going to mention. It’s the kind of thing that sounds like it started with the Worldcon story and has now been embellished into the playground “my uncle who works at Nintendo told me…”

The thing I’ll miss about Pocket is the Kobo integration. Save an article somewhere, check it out on the reader later. I haven’t used Instapaper in a grip—maybe since Marco Arment sold it?—I wonder if my account even exists. Thanks for the suggestion, and resurrecting a memory.

Yup definitely a several-books-at-oncer, too. This was a case of getting in too deep, because that’s how it is for everyone with ANDRONICUS, instead of sticking to the comedies in the compendium at bedtime. There’s an anarchic, gleefully silly cartoon called Karate Sheep that got her straight.

It’s such a wild raised middle finger to the self-serious “mature” game industry, and it’s also fun as hell

Man that movie’s good. I think about the Guttmans in their canoe a lot. “BURN IN HELL, DOCTOR MARVIN!”

It came to nothing in the end in our case, other than hassle, paperwork, and anxiety, but the reality is, these investigations often start on the thinnest of premises, take on a life of their own, and are propelled forward by people whose interest lies in closing cases, not administering justice.

I guess that’s unfair of me—LifeAlert would call a monitoring center, ChatGPT will fix your emergency by telling you to get bangs

Jony Ive got paid millions to turn in a LifeAlert necklace that’s always on. What a hell of a racket.

If I’d paid Jony Ive millions, I’d be pissed if he came back with an OpenAI LifeAlert necklace.

Beautiful picture, as always! We took the kids to Chattanooga in March. We got married in the Hunter Museum of American Art and it was our first time back, and the kids’ first time at all. I hope you have a great time.

Coming across it unawares was like reading Kris Straub’s “Candle Cove” for the first time. The structure was perfect for the story.
