We are very much on opposite ends of the home-based spectrum. More than once I’ve gone to get in my car and noticed a spider has spun a web between the car and the ground. One of these days I’m expecting to see a family of raccoons or squirrels have setup house underneath it. 🤣

You should probably practice some leaving the house, driving, and parking this weekend. Gotta keep those reflexes sharp so you don’t accidentally hit a dingo or a hobbit or something on the way to the office.

Very misleading headline. Once you purchase a book you can do with it what you want (first sale doctrine), up to and including scanning said book into your own computer system.

Only when it’s democrats, or another group they don’t like, involved. I mean, these are the American people that made Colin Kaepernick out to be the worst of the worst, but gave a collective ‘meh’ to J6.

In 2019 a friend and I went to see Metallica play with the SF Symphony Orchestra. A COVID lockdown/newborn baby hobby of mine was to watch the Blu-ray on mute in the middle of the night as I was feeding the baby, and text a picture to my friend every time I found us in the audience.

Will ppl still be in the mix? Yes, but the skillset for the typical post worker will change drastically. Will all 'hand made' films, shows, etc., still be made? Of course. Just like ppl still make art and hand made shoes today, but rank-and-file/middle class post jobs won't exist like they do today.

AI is going to change the desktop-based workforce in a similar way to how the Industrial Revolution and assembly line changed the lives of craftspeople. We went from craftspeople making clothes, shoes, furniture, etc., to unskilled/semi-skilled workers each doing their part on an assembly line. 1/2

"...Cardinal Spellmen would be relating love, giving, and forgiveness... and Christ was wondering what 40 Puerto Ricans were doing living in one room, while this guy was wearing a ring worth eight grand...""Christ and Moses" is one of my favorite Lenny Bruce bits.
