I did! In fact I all but learned to read on my mom’s full color 10th anniversary books. She gave them to me last year, and I’m very slowly replacing the ones I loved nearly to death.

Oh sheesh I just send you a dm asking about this very thing! I totally get it, it can unfortunately be hard information to find!

Her beautiful covers are all done by Jody A Lee! Her style is really unique, and lucky for her (and her fans haha) Lackey cranks out books at a pretty good clip.

Oh nice!! I can definitely see how that would make line work more comfortable! I just really wasn’t sure what I was looking at initially.

Marjorie B Kellog’s The Book of Earth. It’s the first of a quartet, each one a different element and time period. I reread them this year and really enjoyed them. The core concept is unique, and the themes definitely still resonate. I recommend them if you’re looking for a finished series!

I’ve always loved her work! I remember being disappointed as a kid when the second two books in this series came out with a different cover artist! No shade to that person, those covers look great, I just loved the first two illustrations instantly.

Extremely cool, thank you for sharing.
What’s that enormous barrel on your pen? Is it ergonomic?

This puts me very much in mind of a scene from Malazan Book of the Fallen, but it’s also incredibly cool in its own right. Love the colors.

Nah, I ate a large edible in the middle of the afternoon that day. 10/10 decision, zero regrets.

I mean okay, but it is delightful to imagine that this game has been made in part by someone who at any given moment might look like an extremely comfortable wizard who simply cannot be bothered.

Hah! What a mortifying reminder that the din is less here! I hope it was very clear the crickets in question were my distinct lack of followers and in no way a commentary on your work!

I have zero to add to the discourse about this, but wish to express my utter delight in the word “beclowned.” What a gift.
