Yes! We don’t punish victims of abusers so why are we so invested in punishing these people? Don’t get me wrong, they’d rather I not exist and I know that. But what we’ve been doing hasn’t worked. We need a new strategy.

I wish I knew, myself. Complacency and prizing comfort over all else has a lot to do with it (among white Americans). Even now, US liberals are looking for someone to save them. (I would be NDP if we had it here.)

This is exactly the point I’ve been trying to make. A two-month sample is an incredibly short time for anyone but day-traders to use as a benchmark. The last thing we want is complacency when it goes up again, which it inevitably will.

If it’s helpful, Missouri exports transportation equipment and chemicals. But maybe lay off the stereotyping of red states? Remember that many red states are actually purple (like Texas and Missouri) but heavily gerrymandered.
