Sad to say you're mistaken. AfD got Gelsenkirchen and Kaiserslautern

Current evidence from the USA suggests that a two party system is no guarantee against getting a fascist government

Worse than Avanti. It doesn't get more damning than that!
What a sad decline for a service that was once the envy of the world

Germany made the mistake of following Britain down the privatisation route. It's wrecked our infrastructure. Looks like yours is going the same way.

* Though hopefully sensible folk at state level may manage to keep progressing renewables despite their fossil-brained president (assuming the USA doesn't go full dictatorship!)

If you're going for district heating then heat pumps can easily be used as the power source. Many examples already in existence. Why go for the complicated & expensive solution?

100%. Came across a fella the other day who's 'perfume' you could smell 10m away in a garden! Can't stand it when my clothes get 'infected' by someone's slipstream and I get a whiff off them hours later

#Mastodon ( joinmastodon.org )probably meets that criteria? Works pretty well too. You get a vast choice of servers world-over to host your account, a choice of apps to access and it seems they're actively working to decentralise (from German base) even further blog.joinmastodon.org/2025/01/the-...

Seems to have got a bit better for me now. I don't really understand how the 'Discover' feed prioritises posts even normally though. It often mixes posts from (eg) 8h and 1m, but this morning it felt like I was only getting 8h/2h/10h and no 1m/10m/20m. Maybe just a blip?
