Do you get it yet, law firms? What’s happening isn’t an isolated threat to Paul Weiss or Covington or Perkins Coie. It’s an existential threat to the independence of the legal profession. You’re a fool if you think you won’t be next. Say something. Do something.

Paul, Weiss could still fix this. Trump left them an opening. Push back on Trump’s edits. Say they will continue diversity efforts (but not hire that way). Disavow any repudiation of Pomeratz. Say that the pro bono time is not about the Administation’s interests. Etc. Dare Trump to respond.
