It's because the Proud Boys are paid by Putin, who definitely doesn't want to see their ally get bombed.

If the Senator rejects the ultimatum, Darth Vader said, “that improves our legitimacy and then reluctantly we blow them to smithereens.”

In what way can you call someone a "stone cold killer" in a good way?!? Like, that's by definition bad.

Yeah, our entire county is about 90K, which a lot for rural VA. But about 1% of the county showing up is a lot!

Really did! It rained cats and dogs for like 20 minutes, and I think 80% of the crowd stuck it through!

Had about 1,000 people at our small Southwest VA town. basically all just folks of all kinds, young and old. It was great.

The kombucha also doubles as a fuel for my solar-powered tricycle for when it is cloudy.

I mash into a pulp, mix it with bespoke kombucha, put it in the bathtub for a deep cleansing.

The issue is Soros only pays in SorosBux, which limits what it can be used for purchase. I use my SorosBux to buy locally-sourced free-range kale by the barrel.

I hope you're right. My concern is that the ICE shock troops are being built out of J6ers and Proud Boys. I don't trust their code of conduct and their respect for the Constitution. These chuds want a king!

Yes, I think back to how demoralized the GOP voters were in 2008. Very few of them were ever going to permanently switch parties, but many of them were really demoralized and didn't vote in 2008. Probably the best we can hope for for 2026 and 2028.

MSM journalists already assume that the rightwing is against them, so they don't give a crap what they think (mostly). But they also assume that the left is in their corner, so any criticism from that side stings so much more.
It's middle school thinking.

Consider the credibility of your subject. If Musk says a thing, the opposite is most likely to come true.

I bet the people that did this hate IVF. Literally hundreds of thousands of embryos are *murdered* each year in IVF clinics across the country, according to those whack jobs

Right, it's a dilapidated "motel" in the middle of nowhere. Again, a nice idea, but not practical.
comment in response to
post
Exactly. It's a nice idea, but imagine the typical hotel room. No place for a kitchen, extra bedroom, etc, unless you start combining rooms, which would likely be impossible. Better to tear the whole thing down and start over.

I live in rural Virginia, and I know a fair number of folks here that are not so thrilled with how things are going. They are still mostly in wait-and-see mode, but many of them are worried about the oncoming economic problems and higher prices.

It is probably true that "most Republican" voters are fine with this, but I am guessing it is a bare majority of them. Many R voters see what is going on and are despondent and disgusted.

I'm probably biased, since I am a scientist. But I think you're right. This is going to have huge effects that will last for decades. Maybe it was mistake for universities to offload the funding of academic science upon the federal govt, given that it was so easy to short circuit.
