USAFacts, a nonpartisan nonprofit, tracks government spending. USAID is 0.3% of federal spending—30 cents of $100—to aid neighbors, future immigrants, and trading partners. Strikes me is a good investment. And perhaps a generally good thing to do. usafacts.org/explainers/w...

This question has run through my head multiple times and at length: the perception by some in the US (including in the Oval Office) that allies have no choice but to source from and trade with the US. There are other sources. There are other trading partners. We will become marginalized.
