So proud of myself. Barely able to get out of bed today because of a crash and I managed to get in protein, carbs, AND fruit. Also half a tin of Danish butter cookies but that's neither here nor there.

I accidentally kicked my roomba while it was docked and it immediately started vacuuming like followed by the most pathetic docking attempt ever 😭 Me: Oh no Charles I'm so sorry, go back to sleep 😭 Charles: Father demands I vacuum? I vacuum now! 😰 Me: No no Charles it was an accident I swear! 😭

This is good advice. I've told multiple people, "You can do whatever you want as long as you do it on purpose," i.e., consciously and fully aware of the consequences. #spoonieauthchat

Another ttrpg character creation thing my best friend introduced me to that I often forget, but when I remember it always seems to pay off: “What’s in their pockets? Not like how much rope or how many bullets you’re carrying, what’s their everyday stuff?” It’s often a tough question in a good way.

Have literally walked out of my library with several hundred dollars' worth of out of print comic book collections before because of ILL.

And if a book isn’t available from a library, you can request it! Or if tou have Libby, you can request to be notified if/when your library gets the book! It happened to me today! Libraries rock!

Creators, don’t stop pitching queer content to editors, producers, etc. because you’re afraid it’s going to be stifled going forward. That just helps the bad guys. Don’t pre-censor yourself or the industry you’re in!

I JUST got "The Company of Cats" removed from this person's list of works, got my author application denied, and now I see this. I am going to fistfight someone in a parking lot about this.

This is a WONDERFUL thread explaining alt text and why it's important!

Article includes a bunch of interesting numbers, like that the median American reader (of any gender) reads 5 books a year. Most countries don't have these data but I'd guess this is kind of the ballpark all around. Frankly, higher than I expected, calling it a win www.vox.com/culture/3929...

Please pay us properly. It is so hard to keep doing this 🥲

#pretendpanel Jan 4. The books not done till I've cleared the final proof copy and know that there is no further tweaking required. We celebrate by grabbing some food out, and then immediately start the next project, even though we said we'd rest.

There is no such thing as an AI "artist." Art is expression. The choices you make as an artist inform that expression. A I churns out a result, but willfully removing your own choices in its fabrication removes the artist, you remove yourself. A flat result exists; you do not. It means nothing.

If you prefer to read on a Kindle, or other electronic device, my novel is currently available for less than the price of something that costs a pound. Bargain!
