Why does #eBay constantly interfere with the sellers' information? Now I've got a totally meaningless "year to date" sales total instead of the last 90 days, the figure I've been seeing literally for years. Before that it was the viewing insight data tables they modified and somehow made worse...

#Postcard of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother with a Northern Rhodesia (#Zambia today) 1½d #Royal Silver Wedding #stamp affixed and cancelled on the first day of issue. This has to be one of my favourite first day items I ever had in stock. #philately

No fowl play: A flamboyance of flamingos stands in one of the Walvis Bay Saltworks salt ponds, which are part of the Kuiseb River delta in the Dorob National Park, Walvis Bay, Namibia. Photo: Marco Longari/AFP

My favourite thing about chatting with cab-drivers is what I learn. Talking about pets, driver tells me he owns a horse and he had four in Pakistan for Tent Pegging. Never heard of it, told him I'd Google it when I got home, cheers Wasim, every day is a school day! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tent_pe...

FT. The last-ever Merseyside derby at Goodison ends even after Tarkowski's late, LATE strike. A point was no less than we deserved. UTT! 💙 [2-2] #EVELIV

It's 1923 over on my website! These are all Harrison essays produced by the printers in 1923 as a possible replacement for the #SouthAfrica KGV Heads design, a #Springbok in front of #TableMountain in screened and unscreened printings. #philately

We're interrupting your scrolling to announce that, if if you melt down the Eifel Tower and pour it into a puddle with the same footprint of the Eifel Tower, that puddle would be about 6cm deep.

In Sep 1892, publisher & author Jacob Henry Studer (1839–1904), President of the Natural Science Association of America, sent this advertising cover for his book The Birds of North America, illustrated by Theodore Jasper (1814–1897), to The Democrat newspaper in McPherson, Kansas. /1 #ornithology

Two of the type of spots you might expect from a National Trust car park. The Astra was a little peach, 56000 miles and a spotless interior, looked like it has spent every night of its life tucked up in a garage. Made me think of you and Sion @thealso.bsky.social

A few items coming to my Society auction soon...

I know nothing about them, but after Everton (of course), "Eleven Men in Flight" must be the greatest team name in world football? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eleven_....

Check out this fun new board game featuring... postcards! 😍 It's on Kickstarter now, but we received an advance copy and gave it a go. It's beautiful!

Only learned about these guys last night (I'm reading about Sicily 1943) and then I see a bunch of posts about them the following morning. The first Top Gun guys.

A #SouthAfrica revenue stamp that doesn't need to be reviewed by VAR? #philately (If you don't know what this means, consider yourself lucky)

I've just updated and added a few more accounts. If you mostly post about #philately and you are not on the list, let me know.

...you really do
