Re-watched the Killing Fields last night. Great film, terrible soundtrack. Watching it now, the parallels were jarring: the denial by the regime of observable facts, the push to strip away science and art and medicine, and the cruelty of a regime bent on resetting the cultural clock to "Year Zero".
