The "Roman" salute appeared in the painting Oath of the Horatii from 1784 and became (inaccurately) associated with the Romans, and the Italian Fascists used it, for that very reason. The NSDAP adopted it in turn. There had never been any evidence that the Romans ever used it.

Fine if he wants to embrace green tech, but he can't go calling it a con at the same time. The only con is fossil fuels, which now cost more than renewables, and even if you don't believe in climate change, they still release toxic chemicals into the air. Do you really want to breathe that shit in?

Well, with feudalism, it was royal aristocrats and the nobility. They lost their power and wealth to the merchant classes, who became the first capitalists in the 17th and 18th centuries. Now they are fearful of the same thing that happened to the landed gentry of old.

This is why Musk wants to alter or get rid of the community notes as well as the fact that he's been community noted to hell himself.

Come on, Britain. We can do better than that! All the way down!

But- but... What about the fossil fuel barons and shareholders?! Won't anyone think of their profits? Oh, the humanity! 😭

For most of history, most humans owned the fruits of their own labour. They took their own crops or crafts to the markets to sell them. The feudal system did away with that, with the aristocracy owning the fruits, and everyone else did the labour. Now it's the CEOs. Time to eat the rich.

The National Socialist German Workers Party was about as Socialist as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is democratic. Hitler despised communism and made no secret of it, hence why he invaded the Soviet Union in the first place...

Reminds me of the story of Iraqi soldiers doing the same thing Kuwait as told by a supposed Kuwati nurse. Turned out said nurse was the Kuwait-US ambassador's daughter and the entire story was fake. Saddam Hussein was a c**t but Arabs are not Saddam. If this is true, hypocrisy at it's shittiest.

A billionaire, who has called for the release of Steven Lennon/Tommy Robinson, who's pals, including Dale Hewitt, Pete Gillette, Mark Hogg, Shaun Jones and many, many others have all been served time for various sexual offenses against minors. Make it make sense...

I love the fact that these "anti woke" idiots say it's a "war on Christmas" but if you look up Happy Holidays, and Season's Greetings, you find that they've been in use since at least the 1800s, mainly because not alienating customers is generally good for business. They need to learn to use Google.
