ooh. This is epic! #Library πŸ“š #Librarian #employment #job

Just delivered a talk on the autistic experience in academic libraries to 120+ attendees! The feedback has been incredible, with many recognising autistic traits in themselves and others. Thank you to everyone who attended, it was a fantastic time! #Neurodiversity #AutismAwareness #Inclusion

I have found it really hard to sum up my whole dissertation- Jo you have just saved me! I'm going to quote this from now onπŸ˜‰

An unexpected, but very welcome question!

I had such an amazing time yesterday presenting my research, and answering some really fascinating questions!

I had such a brilliant time, and thank you for coming! I'm so pleased to hear you got something out of it πŸ˜€

I was lucky enough to receive this award last year, and it was such an incredible experience! It was my first conference and everyone was so kind and welcoming. If you're thinking about applying, this is your sign to go for it!

I'm not sure how this happened, but apparently 200 people want to hear me chat about my diss! Thank you to everyone who has got a ticket and is coming along, it makes my heart happy to see so many people interested in my autistic librarian experiences.

There are only 20 (out of 200!) tickets left for my free talk with NLISN on the 20th January! This is a really exciting opportunity to learn more about the autistic experience of working in an academic library (/working): what could impact learning and how to facilitate learning.

Wow- I found this really resonated! Some brilliant research and pieces have been shared by @nlisn.bsky.social on our BlueSky.

Half the tickets (106!) have already gone for this event! I'm so pleased that people are interested in this research and the experience of autistic librarians. Follow the link to join us!

It's been a pleasure and privilege working with the fantastic committee members of NLISN. What a year (nearly) it has been! #Library #NLISN #Neurodiversity

Very exciting times coming up! I'm going to be presenting my dissertation with NLISN on January 20th- book your place now. I combine info literacy and autism in this project that gave autistic librarians a chance to voice their realities of the workplace. @nlisn.bsky.social

I'm really excited to be taking part in this event! The other dissertation topics look fascinating. Do come along if you want to see me talk about my dissertation: What does it mean to be information literate for an autistic person in the academic library workplace?
