The mug that started it all... If anyone would like said mug (and no, this is not sponsored), it's this one: cottonon.com/MY/fidget-mu...

I'm so pleased you enjoyed it! My hope was that neurodivergent people would know they're not alone in the challenges that come with the workplace, so messages like this really make it worthwhile! 😍 (Also, fidget mugs are the best.)

I've been asked a couple of times how I "knew" someone was not going to be my cup of tea etc... Pattern recognition and intense facial reading, my friend. (Also, after reading this post, I would like to refer to myself as "fae adjacent")

These are all brilliant hopes and targets! 💗 I particularly resonate with the TBR pile and writing ones...

Hello! No, not at all.. You were very candid about it! And, all that being said, I have loved every moment of it. I started in public libraries in York, and have ended up at Senate House- it's been a journey and I wouldn't change it for anything :) I'm biased, but I think librarians are the best

-There aren't many jobs going, and the ones that are going you usually won't have experience for yet or they're not too well paid... There's a lot of 'sideways' movement and worming your way in/playing the long game I think. It's about the situation you're in/what you want/need short/long term.

I remember having a meeting with you back in 2021 when I first started thinking about librarianship and you saying that more people are qualifying than retiring... 3 years on, one library MA later and I can confirm that you're right! It's a hard world to get into (continued)
