Yea - I like unions and want people to be taken care of. But TWU contracts have got to change. We need to bring opex down - or else the future of the system is precarious

Supporting an illegal power grab by Trump to back a good policy that improves commute times for the many NJ bus riders is wild

Those look great. I also think cable cars are kinda underrated

I believe its because it creates demand for car ownership and makes it harder to remove parking spaces for street design changes. Definitely in favor of demand price based meters tho

Ramos has honestly not shown anything that she’s prepared for as complicated a role as mayor. I’ve been very disappointed

The problem is - a lot of the IZ requirements make it prohibitively expensive to build projects at all. These are basically “unfunded” mandates. If the Iz requirement are to high - private developers can’t make money and will not build

Its definitely an improvement - but lack of car free streets and having the green space boxed in by roads really hurts this IMO. You then have to suffer car noise while trying to play in a park

Now I understand why Italian constituents put the obligation to institute criminal proceedings in the fundamental law, exactly to avoid this kind of corrupt bargain.

I have a chance to submit questions for the next NJ Democratic gubernatorial candidate debate, which is happening in Princeton on Sunday, Feb 16. One question I am considering is "How much additional funding do you think NJ Transit needs, and where should that money come from?"

What these CBs don't understand: without government funds aka more taxes, these private developers cannot afford to build housing with very high % of affordable units. These developments need to be approved immediately.
