Thank you! It’s been a long battle but I’m glad we can finally put the flat on the market and stop wasting £20k p/a on rent once it’s sold !!

Huge thanks to her family for bravely speaking out about this- it must have taken so much courage and strength. One can only hope that the government will do the right thing and finally protect those in her situation and leave her a legacy she would be proud of. Rest in peace Amanda 💔

and he crashed the housing market with his abysmal handling of the building safety crisis/cladding scandal - losing millions of votes of leaseholders and their friends & family in the process…

He really is a despicable human being ! I don’t think I’ll ever get over the “caveat emptor” comments on the building safety crisis (because obviously we all have crystal balls/sledgehammers to know what’s behind our walls). This however is on another level.

I’m still at a loss as to why some Defendants still think they are entitled to this! (And even more so why any right minded solicitor would disclose it ?!)

Wow amazing !! I did it in 2021- such a brilliant experience and the crowds really do keep you going with all the street parties/music and cheering etc !! Best of luck with the training and enjoy 😊

Which marathon are you signed up for? Good luck- the training sure is gruelling !!

Let’s just hope that tomorrows debate on building safety results in positive (and swift) action from the government. People simply cannot wait any longer!

What is however deeply concerning is the amount of buildings that have yet to have any works started 7 years post Grenfell!!! It’s estimated there are still over 5,000 blocks of 11m+ either awaiting start (or completion) and potentially over 500,000 peoples lives still on hold…

And having to live there during lockdown with knowledge of all the fire safety issues was not fun at all. Thank god it’s all nearly over (for us at least!) and we can finally sell up, move on and not have to waste so much £ on unnecessary rent, service charges etc…

Yet NHBC still signed it all off. Linden Homes built it but sold off to Vistry. Neither entity would take responsibility due to this, and nor would NHBC or the freeholders. It’s taken YEARS of fighting to get to this point (we were facing £200k ish bills per flat initially!!)

It’s been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Flammable (HPL) cladding, flammable insulation (Kingspan k15- same as Grenfell), flammable materials on our balconies, completely missing fire breaks, internal compartmentation issues and actual BEER CANS embedded into our walls….

I’m not sure they even inspected our building (missing fire breaks, flammable cladding, flammable insulation and actual beer cans embedded into the walls yet they still signed it off!!). Clearly not acting in the public interest and refused to even talk to us when we complained “as only LH’s”!!
