How does the selection mechanism actually work? Like very specifically? Is that even public information?

Personally the supplement-lite ads have also become increasingly at odds with his political persona.
It's not unique to him though, been noticing the shadiness of sponsorships increasing across the board for progressive video creators.

And to this particular hypothetical, here's what T8 Law has to say: youtu.be/J-uXO1qmcOw?...

I've always been curious why the cables emanate from the skull, rather than entering it.
If it's "people are the problem" I feel like you're less generally misanthropic than that. You're critical of specific people, which is something I appreciate.

I think David Pierce made some tangential comments about this in a recent Vergecast, something like "podcasts aren't music and why should they go there it's called YouTube Music" but I'm also guessing it has something to do with YouTube premium lite (lol) still having ads on YouTube Music?

I can never tell if this sentiment is sincere or more like an RFP

Obviously can't happen before this event but y'all need media distribution. Right now we can't hear you, so we think we are alone.
Personally I think it's time to stop being ethical. Grab the donors and get them to backstop remaining outlets. Advertise Bluesky on billboards. Whatever you can.

This is very good.

This article you linked is pretty much FUD. Near zero technical info, a lot of supposition, and then quotes about USA intelligence meant to inspire fear.
I am super curious about Signal's relative safety but I know some things about their architecture and this article doesn't seem to.

In JS/TS anonymous functions with nested scope are everywhere. const binding a variable helps you see accidental shadowing assignment. These bugs can be very expensive. Each one you don't experience (because you use const) is worth the time typing the extra letter for the entirety of the project.

Do you know of any product review orgs that focus on compatibility and lifetime of device? Rtings tries to do updates to their reviews over the lifecycle of devices but it's very spotty. I can't even really describe what has happened to Consumer Reports. It's a huge need in the time of influencers.

Ok but if you really did post that on National Horse Day it would be in pretty bad taste yes?

An under-discussed possibility of AI gen media is you can make it say whatever you want, no need to coerce people to write. Maybe that's all you want if you're 2025 Jeff Bezos. The husk of the reputation is the lure to get people to read it.
As with Twitter, it's about power. Don't need quality.

Where are we at on it being better or worse that Microsoft has built a fully automated CA directly into Azure?

In a small way I'm happy there are enough people here now to dunk these media brands for betraying our country.
In a very very small way.
And sure, why not. This sucks shit, NPR. Please don't do this.

I haven't appreciated much of the discourse on the media's role in the election - but I think this description is focused, useful offline, and very good. Thanks.
